Salvation Army Angel Tree Applications Open September 3 For Families In 8 Arkansas Counties

Families in 8 Arkansas counties will soon be able to apply for The Salvation Army’s 2026 Angel Tree Program.

The Salvation Army Central Arkansas Area Command says online applications will be accepted beginning Thursday, September 3, and continuing through Friday, September 11, 2026.

The program is designed to help bring Christmas assistance to eligible children and families during the holiday season.

REGISTRATION IS ONLINE ONLY

Applications must be completed online at:

The Salvation Army says no invitation code is required. Applicants can simply enter their ZIP code to begin the process.

No in-person applications will be accepted.

The program serves families in:

Van Buren County

Cleburne County

Faulkner County

Perry County

White County

Saline County

Pulaski County

Lonoke County

350 APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE EACH DAY

The Salvation Army says a maximum of 350 applications will be available each day until the overall application limit has been reached.

Once the daily limit is reached, the online system will temporarily close.

The application system is scheduled to reopen at 9:00 AM the following day.

Officials warn that incomplete applications will be deleted. Families may reapply if application space remains available.

CHILDREN MUST BE 12 OR YOUNGER

Children included in an Angel Tree application must be age 12 or younger as of December 25, 2026.

Parents or guardians must upload identification and other required documentation as part of the application.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants will need to upload a valid parent or guardian photo ID or passport.

The person completing the application must be the individual who has legal custody of the child.

Child identification showing the child’s birthdate is also required.

Acceptable documents may include:

Birth certificate

Government-issued identification

Custody papers, if applicable

DSS printout for each child listed, if applicable

PROOF OF ADDRESS REQUIRED

Applicants must also provide proof of their current address.

Examples listed by The Salvation Army include:

Current utility bills

Bank statements

Credit card statements

Lease agreements

School or university enrollment letters dated within the last 90 days and addressed to the parent or guardian

PROOF OF HOUSEHOLD INCOME REQUIRED

Families must also upload proof of household income.

Examples include:

SNAP benefit letters

Other government benefit letters

Employee pay stubs

Official letters on company letterhead

Employer letters must include the employer’s signature and the applicant’s name.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU APPLY?

After the application and required documents are submitted, families will receive an email from The Salvation Army Angel Tree team.

The email may state that the application has been approved, declined or that additional documentation is required.

Families who are approved will receive their pickup date and time by email.

GIFT PICKUP SET FOR DECEMBER 15 OR 16

The Salvation Army says Angel Tree pickup dates will be December 15 or December 16, 2026.

The exact pickup location will be emailed to approved families 24 hours before their scheduled pickup time.

Officials emphasize that failure to complete an application or upload all required documents will result in automatic deletion of the application.
