A major effort to improve school safety has been rolled out in North Little Rock, drawing the attention of commuters and parents alike.
North Little Rock Police Department has installed new “No Thru Traffic” signs at Wigwam Lane and Osage Drive near Indian Hills Elementary, restricting that stretch of road to school‑related drop‑off and pick‑up traffic during designated hours.

The signs were placed at the intersection of Wigwam Lane and Osage Drive, as noted in the department’s traffic update.
During school drop‑off and pick‑up times, Wigwam Lane from Osage Drive to Indian Hills Drive is reserved for vehicles dropping off or picking up students.
No other traffic will be allowed to use this section of Wigwam Lane during the posted hours.
The North Little Rock Police Department asked residents to plan their daily commute accordingly, drive carefully, and use designated routes, thanking the community for cooperation in keeping students and the neighborhood safe.
