Eaton is planning one of the largest manufacturing investments announced for Central Arkansas, with a new $242 million facility expected to create 1,200 jobs in North Little Rock.
The intelligent power management company announced plans Wednesday for a new state-of-the-art, 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility.
Eaton will manufacture and integrate customized modular electrical enclosures for its Fibrebond business at the North Little Rock operation.
The products will support growing demand in the data center, utility, industrial and digital communications markets.
Eaton expects the new facility to double its U.S. manufacturing capacity for the electrical enclosures.
“Customers are looking for ways to deploy critical power infrastructure faster, with greater certainty and less complexity,” Eaton Electrical Sector Americas President Mike Yelton said.
Yelton said the investment will expand Eaton’s ability to produce custom modular electrical enclosures while strengthening its U.S. manufacturing capacity and skilled workforce.
The company plans to hire workers for manufacturing, electrical and operations positions.
Eaton says employees will receive hands-on training and opportunities for career advancement into higher-skilled technical roles.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the project reflects Arkansas’ growing need for reliable infrastructure and credited the state’s tax structure, permitting environment and workforce with helping attract the investment.
“As Arkansas grows, the need for critical and reliable infrastructure grows with it,” Sanders said.
Arkansas Economic Development Commission Executive Director Clint O’Neal called the project a milestone for North Little Rock and Central Arkansas.
O’Neal said Eaton selected North Little Rock following a competitive site search.
The project resulted from collaboration among the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, City of North Little Rock and Metro Little Rock Alliance, led by the Little Rock Regional Chamber.
Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde said the investment will provide opportunities for families to build careers and futures in Central Arkansas.
North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick welcomed Eaton to the city and said the anticipated 1,200 jobs will contribute to continued economic growth.
Eaton was founded in 1911 and reported $27.4 billion in revenue in 2025. The company serves customers in 180 countries across data center, utility, industrial, commercial, aerospace, residential and other markets.
Additional information about future Eaton job openings in Arkansas is expected to be announced as positions become available.
