Cave City Delegation From the Heart of Cave City Brings Downtown Ideas Home From Baton Rouge

A major event just happened, drawing attention from across the state as local leaders seek fresh ideas for community growth.

Cave City’s Heart of Cave City delegation attended Destination Downtown 2026 in Baton Rouge, toured historic sites and gathered ideas to bring back to Arkansas Main Street projects.

Brandi, Cali and Jessica of the Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce spent several days meeting downtown leaders and exploring successful projects in Baton Rouge.

The group toured a former electric depot that has been reimagined as a social and event space, showcasing adaptive reuse of historic infrastructure.

They also visited Louisiana’s Old State Capitol, seeing how communities can honor heritage while redefining public spaces.

Returning home, they reported new connections, practical ideas and inspiration to share through Main Street Arkansas, though specific implementation plans are not yet known.
