A group of Cave City Middle School students made memories they will not soon forget after traveling to Fayetteville through the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation’s Burls Kids program.
The students made the trip to attend an Arkansas Razorback football game and experience a special day on the University of Arkansas campus.
The visit included time on campus, a trip to the Hall of Honor and the opportunity to take in the atmosphere surrounding Razorback football.
Students also received a visit from Cave City’s own Canaan Sandy during the trip.
WIN FOR THE HOGS AND BURLS KIDS
The day became even more memorable as the Razorbacks picked up a win, giving the Cave City students even more reason to celebrate.
The students were also welcomed and supported by members of Delta Gamma, who helped make the experience even more special.
School officials said the group was expected to arrive back home around 2:30 a.m., but the long day and late-night return were worth it for the memories made.
BRANDON BURLSWORTH FOUNDATION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY
The trip was made possible through the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation’s Burls Kids program.
The program gives students opportunities to attend Razorback football games and enjoy experiences connected to the University of Arkansas.
Cave City school officials thanked the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation for providing the opportunity for the students.
They also thanked Ricky Davis with Cave City Sonic for helping make the trip possible.
The experience gave students the chance to enjoy Razorback football, visit the University of Arkansas campus and create memories outside the classroom.
School officials celebrated the trip with a simple message:
Go Hogs. Go Cavemen.
