First Community Bank has announced the promotion of Brandt McDonald to senior vice president of retail banking operations and training.
In his expanded role, McDonald will support markets across the bank’s footprint by overseeing the implementation and enhancement of retail banking products while leading training initiatives designed to prepare employees to provide strong customer service.
McDonald coordinates bank-wide educational programs, oversees training for new account representatives in the Batesville region and works with regional trainers across Arkansas and Missouri.
Bank officials said the goal is to maintain consistent instruction and service standards throughout the organization.
“Brandt has a unique ability to connect with people and create learning experiences that build both knowledge and confidence,” said Tammy Poole, senior vice president of retail banking.
Poole said McDonald’s commitment to developing employees and supporting retail teams across every market has strengthened the organization.
“This promotion is a reflection of the leadership, professionalism and passion he brings to First Community Bank every day,” Poole said.
McDonald said the promotion is confirmation that his work is making a difference within the bank.
“I look forward to continuing to strengthen our training program within the new accounts department and supporting bank-wide initiatives however I am able,” McDonald said.
McDonald brings 12 years of banking experience to his new position.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a communications emphasis from Williams Baptist University and graduated summa cum laude from the Barret Graduate School of Banking.
Outside of First Community Bank, McDonald is active with the Batesville Community Theatre, where he directs productions, performs on stage and helps with social media initiatives.
He also enjoys reading and traveling with family and friends.
First Community Bank opened August 4, 1997, in Batesville and is locally owned and managed.
The bank currently operates 35 locations across Arkansas and Missouri, employs 670 professional bankers and reported assets of $3.6 billion as of June 30, 2026.
