He faced allegations before. Now he’s been charged with “bond surrender” as well.
David Newton, 60, was booked into the Lonoke County jail on September 25, 2026 by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with capital rape along with several other sexual offenses.
According to the affidavit, Newton is accused of multiple sexual offenses, including capital rape, sexual assault in the first degree, and computer exploitation of a child, as shown in the booking photograph released by the sheriff’s office.

Prosecutors say Newton is accused of capital rape and sexual assault in the first degree. He is also alleged to have committed sexual indecency with a child and to have engaged a child in sexually explicit conduct.
