The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Little Rock District has temporarily closed the docks at Russellville Marina effective July 8, 2026, citing safety hazards and the marina operator’s failure to complete required repairs under its Commercial Concessions Lease Agreement.

USACE officials said the marina sustained extensive damage during the February 2026 winter storm. Combined with deferred maintenance, the damage created unsafe conditions that required access to the docks to be restricted.
While the docks are now closed, the marina repair shop, store and rental cabins remain open.
Officials said USACE required the marina operator to complete a corrective action plan to restore safe public access. Because the required work has not been fully completed, the docks will remain closed until all outstanding safety requirements have been met.
Boat owners are being instructed to remove all vessels and personal property from the affected dock areas so repairs can move forward. The exception is Sailboat Dock A, which is closed, but boat owners are not required to remove their vessels. Houseboat owners should contact the marina operator about possible relocation options within the marina.
USACE personnel will be available to assist boat owners with dock access on July 9 and July 10 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. Assistance will also be available July 11 from 9 a.m. until noon.
After July 11, boat owners must schedule an appointment with the Russellville Site Office for vessel removal during weekday business hours from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The site office can be reached at 501-340-1762.
Questions regarding boat removal should be directed to the marina operator. General questions may be directed to the Little Rock District Real Estate Office at 501-324-5716.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District manages 12 multipurpose lakes, 13 locks and dams, 308 miles of navigation along the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, 168 recreation areas and 7 hydroelectric plants throughout Arkansas.
