Feed the Veterans Pantry will open its doors for local veterans and their families on Thursday, July 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 1212 South 2nd Street in Cabot.
The pantry is available to military veterans and family members under the age of 18. Participants must present a DD Form 214 and a photo ID, or a Military ID card or Veterans Affairs (V.A.) card to receive assistance.
Unlike many traditional food pantries, Feed the Veterans allows veterans to shop for the non-perishable food and personal hygiene items they need rather than receiving pre-packaged boxes.
The pantry is open on the 3rd Saturday of each month and is supported by community donations.
