The Conway Police Department is investigating a series of incidents involving the vandalism and destruction of several Flock Safety cameras installed throughout the city.

Police say multiple cameras have been damaged in recent weeks, with at least one camera having its wires intentionally cut. Officials have not disclosed exactly how many cameras were affected or whether any suspects have been identified.
The City of Conway currently operates 20 Flock Safety cameras strategically placed throughout the community. The cameras capture still images of the rear license plates of passing vehicles and are designed to assist law enforcement in investigations involving stolen vehicles, missing persons, wanted suspects, and other criminal cases.
According to police, the system does not continuously record video. Instead, the cameras collect still images and vehicle information that can be searched by investigators when investigating crimes or locating vehicles connected to public safety incidents.
The Conway Police Department has not released additional details about the vandalism investigation but says officers are working to ensure the remaining Flock Safety cameras continue operating without interruption.
Officials have not said whether repairs have been completed on the damaged cameras or if the incidents are believed to be connected.
Anyone with information about the vandalism is encouraged to contact the Conway Police Department.
