Harding University head softball coach Ashley Reeves has been selected for induction into the Texas Tech Hall of Fame.
Reeves, who competed as Ashley Parker during her playing career, starred for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2004 through 2007. She was a 4-year starter who began her career at catcher before moving to centerfield for her final 3 seasons.
Reeves remains the only player in Texas Tech softball history to earn All-Big 12 honors during 4 separate seasons. She received First Team recognition in 2004 and 2007 and Second Team honors in 2005 and 2006. She also earned NFCA All-Midwest Region Second Team recognition in 2007.
SPEED AND CONSISTENCY:
Reeves finished her Texas Tech career with a .312 batting average, 200 hits, 112 runs, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run and 33 RBIs.
She stole 78 career bases and remains ranked 2nd in Texas Tech softball history. Her 34 stolen bases in 2006 marked the program’s 1st season with a player recording at least 30 stolen bases.
Reeves ranks 5th in Texas Tech history with 642 career at-bats and 10th with 112 runs scored.
COACHING SUCCESS AT HARDING:
Reeves began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Abilene Christian in 2011. She became a college head coach at Fort Lewis College in 2020 before taking over the Harding softball program.
Through 7 seasons as a college head coach, Reeves has compiled a 216-125 overall record. Her record through 5 seasons at Harding stands at 185-91.
Under Reeves’ leadership, Harding has earned:
2 NCAA Regional appearances
A 114-51 Great American Conference regular-season record
3 top-3 conference finishes
3 appearances in the GAC Tournament semifinals
INDUCTION CEREMONY:
The 2026 Texas Tech Hall of Fame class will be formally inducted September 25 at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center in Lubbock, Texas. The class will also be recognized September 26 during Texas Tech’s football game against Sam Houston State.
