U.S. Gas Prices Fall Below $4 Per Gallon Nationwide and Below $3.75 in Arkansas for the first time since March, providing welcome relief for drivers across Arkansas and the nation.

According to AAA, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline fell to $3.999 on Thursday. The decline comes after President Donald Trump signed an agreement with Iran that includes reducing Tehran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium and easing certain U.S.-backed sanctions.
The agreement helped push oil prices lower, contributing to a 15% decline in U.S. crude prices during the past month.
While the national average sits just under $4 per gallon, Arkansas motorists continue to enjoy prices well below the national average.
Some of the lowest reported gas prices in the ArkansasRadio.com coverage area include:
• Searcy — $3.359 per gallon
• Conway — $3.379 per gallon
• Clinton — $3.469 per gallon
• Cabot — $3.569 per gallon
• Heber Springs — $3.569 per gallon
• Batesville — $3.69 per gallon
Gas prices vary widely across the country. California motorists are paying an average of $5.64 per gallon, while drivers in South Carolina are seeing prices around $3.58 per gallon.
Despite the recent decline, energy analysts caution that additional price fluctuations remain possible. The conflict involving the Strait of Hormuz disrupted global oil shipments, fertilizer supplies, food transportation and other supply chains. Experts say it could take weeks or months for oil shipments and production levels to fully recover.
Refineries also typically purchase crude oil weeks in advance, meaning lower oil prices may take time to fully translate into lower gasoline prices at local pumps.
For now, Arkansas drivers are benefiting from some of the most affordable fuel prices seen in months.
