The Arkansas National Guard is preparing to take to the skies across the Natural State as part of its Fly Over Arkansas tour celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

The statewide event is scheduled for June 29 through July 2 and will feature military aircraft flying over dozens of Arkansas communities while promoting the upcoming America 250 celebration.
The tour will begin June 29 with stops across southwest Arkansas, including Benton, Hot Springs, Mena, Texarkana, Hope, Prescott, Nashville, Murfreesboro, Arkadelphia, and Malvern.
On June 30, aircraft will travel through central and southern Arkansas with appearances planned for Sheridan, Camden, El Dorado, Pine Bluff, Little Rock, Conway, Russellville, Fort Smith, Van Buren, and several other communities.
The July 1 route includes many communities across northeast and north-central Arkansas, including Beebe, Searcy, Heber Springs, Batesville, Mountain View, Melbourne, Ash Flat, Mountain Home, Newport, Jonesboro, Paragould, Blytheville, Marion, Helena, and Stuttgart.
The tour concludes July 2 with stops in Clinton, Leslie, Marshall, Yellville, Berryville, Eureka Springs, Bentonville, Springdale, Fayetteville, Huntsville, Harrison, and Jasper.
The Arkansas National Guard says the event is part of the statewide effort to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and recognize the history, heritage, and patriotism that have shaped the nation since 1776.
Residents are encouraged to watch for additional details regarding flyover times and community events associated with the celebration.
