A Clinton restaurant earned statewide recognition in the 3rd Annual Arkansas Best Burger Contest hosted by the Arkansas Beef Council.

The Ozark Farmhouse in Clinton was named the Region 1 finalist with its Local Wagyu Burger, placing it among the top burger destinations in Arkansas. While the statewide title went to the Wombat Burger from Eoff’s Food Trailer in Delight, Arkansas, Clinton’s selection as a finalist highlights the growing reputation of local restaurants in Van Buren County.

The Arkansas Beef Council announced the contest received 3,249 nominations during the April 1 through April 30 nomination period, making it the largest contest participation in the event’s history.

The 5 regional finalists included:

• Region 1 — Local Wagyu Burger, The Ozark Farmhouse, Clinton
• Region 2 — Double Burger, The Little Blue Market, Pocahontas
• Region 3 — Wombat Burger, Eoff’s Food Trailer, Delight
• Region 4 — Bubba Burger, Momma’s Diner, Pine Bluff
• Region 5 — Bobby Burger, Bobby’s Cafe, North Little Rock

The winning Wombat Burger features two ground chuck patties topped with white and yellow cheese, grilled onions, sweet banana peppers, bacon, and a signature wombat sauce.

Arkansas Beef Council Chairman Caleb Plyler praised the restaurants participating in the competition, saying Arkansas cattle producers remain committed to excellence throughout the beef industry.

Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture Wes Ward also recognized the contest during Arkansas Beef Month, encouraging Arkansans to support local restaurants and cattle producers statewide.

Past Arkansas Best Burger champions include Johnson’s Country Cookin’ in Melbourne and Bailey’s Family Restaurant in Cave City.
