Arkansas Leaders Celebrate Small Businesses and Entrepreneur Growth Across The Natural State

Arkansas continues gaining national recognition for supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses after Forbes ranked The Natural State as the 3rd-best state in the nation to start a business during 2025.
Leaders across Arkansas say the ranking reflects years of work to create a business-friendly environment focused on strengthening local industries, encouraging innovation, and helping entrepreneurs succeed in communities large and small.
John Boozman is congratulating Arkansas startups and small businesses after Forbes ranked Arkansas the 3rd-best state in America to start a business during 2025. Boozman praised entrepreneurs across the state for creating jobs and strengthening local economies.
Nearly 300,000 small businesses operate across Arkansas employing thousands of residents while helping drive local economies throughout the state.
During National Small Business Week, lawmakers highlighted the importance of supporting hometown businesses and local retailers that continue shaping Arkansas communities.
Officials say small businesses continue serving as the backbone of Arkansas communities from Main Street retailers and restaurants to agricultural operations and family-owned companies.
Lawmakers also pointed to recent bipartisan legislation designed to increase access to capital for small businesses, especially in rural and underserved areas. The AFFORD Act aims to strengthen Community Development Financial Institutions while helping entrepreneurs secure financing and economic development opportunities.
Additional support for small businesses was included in the Working Families Tax Cuts legislation which permanently extends the small business deduction and allows businesses to fully expense investments in machinery and equipment.
Arkansas leaders say continued investment in small businesses will help strengthen local economies while creating new opportunities for future generations of entrepreneurs.
