A Little Rock Arkansas man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison following the armed robbery of a postal employee.

Christopher Juan Sheard, 23, was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison by United States District Judge Lee P. Rudofsky, according to U.S. Attorney Jonathan D. Ross of the Eastern District of Arkansas.
Sheard pleaded guilty on December 1, 2025, to one count of armed robbery of a postal employee. In addition to prison time, he was sentenced to 3 years of supervised release and ordered to pay $44,614.67 in restitution. Officials note there is no parole in the federal system.
Investigators say the robbery occurred on February 26, 2024, when Sheard, armed with a loaded Glock 20 handgun equipped with an extended magazine, approached a postal carrier delivering mail at an apartment complex and demanded a postal key.
Authorities later determined Sheard discussed selling the stolen key and made threatening statements during recorded phone calls following his arrest.
Sheard’s criminal history includes prior convictions for drug-related offenses, felony fleeing, and obstruction of governmental operations.
The case was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service with assistance from the Little Rock Police Department.
