A 38-year-old man from Bald Knob Arkansas has been arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses following an investigation by local authorities.

According to officials, Adam Joseph Phillips was taken into custody Tuesday night by Searcy police after a warrant was issued earlier this month. The warrant was requested by the 17th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and includes 3 counts of rape, classified as Class Y felonies, along with 4 counts of sexual assault in the second degree, classified as Class B felonies.
Phillips was being held Thursday morning in the White County Detention Center on a $250000 bond. Court records show his plea and arraignment hearing is scheduled for May 5 in White County Circuit Court.
Investigators with the White County Sheriff’s Office say the case began on December 31 after authorities received a tip through the child abuse hotline. The allegations involve a juvenile who reported repeated incidents over several years.
According to the affidavit, the victim told investigators that Phillips allegedly used force and threats during multiple incidents. Authorities also stated that witnesses corroborated portions of the allegations, and at least one additional individual reported similar abuse involving the suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
