Arkansas State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect connected to a deadly shooting in Wynne.
According to officials, 36 year-old Edward Lampkin Jr. is wanted in connection with the homicide of 34 year-old Javon Beal of Wynne. The investigation began after the Wynne Police Department requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division following the incident on April 14 2026.
Authorities say officers responded around 11:50 a.m. to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at the intersection of C Street and Fitzhugh Circle. When officers arrived, they found Beal suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Beal’s body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Investigators continue to search for Lampkin and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 870 970 6072.
