Arkansas State University-Beebe celebrated the impact of generosity and community support during its annual Heart of a Vanguard Donor Appreciation event, recognizing donors and partners who help expand opportunities for students.
The event, held last Thursday, brought together donors, community partners, faculty, staff, students, and alumni to highlight the importance of philanthropy in education. Attendees heard firsthand from students and graduates whose lives have been shaped by scholarships and community support.
ASU-Beebe Chancellor Dr. Jennifer Methvin emphasized the vital role donors play in student success.
“Every scholarship, partnership and gift represents an investment in our students and in the future of our communities,” Methvin said. “Because of the generosity of our donors and partners, ASU-Beebe students have opportunities to pursue their goals, develop their talents and build meaningful careers.”
Several students shared their personal journeys during the event, including:
Quinn Darnold, theatre major
Jesse Dougan, general technology major
Grace Tustison, health sciences major
Ethan Davenport, liberal arts and sciences major
Guests also heard from Cody Wilkerson, a nursing alumnus, who spoke about how ASU-Beebe helped prepare him for his career and continues to impact graduates across Arkansas.
During the ceremony, Stallion Transportation Group, based in Beebe, was named the 2026 Community Partner Award recipient. The company was recognized for its ongoing support of ASU-Beebe and its commitment to strengthening workforce opportunities throughout the region.

“Partnerships like the one we share with Stallion Transportation Group help create meaningful connections between education and industry,” Methvin said.
Andrea Cole, associate vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement, said the event highlights the strong connection between ASU-Beebe and the community.
“Our donors and community partners are truly part of the ASU-Beebe family, and their generosity creates opportunities that change lives,” Cole said.
Officials say the annual Heart of a Vanguard event continues to play a key role in celebrating the partnerships that support scholarships, student success initiatives, and workforce development across Arkansas.
