“Forgery” Investigation Underway In Arkansas
Authorities say Young allegedly forged a business check from Taylor’s Made Café Inc. on December 12, 2023. The check, allegedly originally intended for Ace Liquor, was allegedly deposited into Young’s J.P. Morgan Chase account for $6,215.80.
Investigator Nathan Nicodemus allegedly found Young used his iPhone 12 to allegedly deposit the check via the Chase app, secured with fingerprint access. Google searches allegedly linked to Young’s email included queries about canceling mobile check deposits.
Michael Taylor, owner of Taylor’s Made Café, allegedly reported a blank check went missing from his office in November 2023. He allegedly believes an employee stole it, noting the forged signature allegedly used his middle name.
Warrants allegedly executed on Chase Bank, T-Mobile, and Google allegedly revealed matching GPS coordinates and subscriber details pointing to Young’s Bryant address. His account activity and phone records allegedly further implicated him.
When allegedly contacted by investigators in January 2024, Young allegedly claimed someone else deposited the check into his account. He has allegedly not followed up to schedule an interview as of June 2024.
Young was allegedly booked into Faulkner County jail on April 4, 2025, at 11:20 a.m. The case, allegedly filed on June 24, 2024, by Prosecuting Attorney Carol Crews, is now allegedly moving forward in circuit court.
