White County Man Arrested And Charged With Arson
According to case files, McSpadden faces a Class A felony charge of arson for allegedly setting fire to a double-wide mobile home back on October 22, 2024.
The blaze destroyed a residence owned by David Story, reportedly causing damages between $20,000 and $100,000.
Chief Brandon Brown spotted smoke, arrived to find the trailer engulfed, and later confirmed Story was jailed elsewhere.
McSpadden admitted to police he started the fire with lighter fluid and a couch cushion, claiming it was for someone named Metcalf.
He reportedly set the fire even though there were security cameras, but that he forgot about them.
When interviewed about the incident later, he stated that he spun out in a car and that he was reportedly angry at Metcalif talking about it. He told Metcalf:
“I’m tired of hearing you b**** about it.”
He was booked into White County Detention Facility with a $100,000 bond awaiting his May 7th, 2025, court date.
McSpadden hinted at sabotage involving vehicles but refused to fully explain.
