A devastating crash occurred on State Highway 80 West at around 3:40 PM on February 10, 2025, claiming one life and injuring five others.
There were three minors involved, all passengers in the 2001 Ford F150 driven by Sonny Wallace. Their ages are unknown, but they included one boy and two girls. All three minors were injured in the crash and were subsequently taken to Mercy Hospital Waldron for treatment. Details were released by Arkansas State Police.

The vehicle involved was a 2001 Ford F150, driven by 49-year-old Sonny Wallace of Waldron, who was traveling west when the accident happened.
According to reports, the truck veered off the road after overcorrecting during a right turn, leading to an overturn and collision with a tree on the north side of the highway.
The weather was overcast with wet road conditions at the time of the crash, which might have contributed to the incident.
The injured were rushed to Mercy Hospital Waldron, while the body of the deceased was taken to the Scott County Coroner’s office.
