Arkansas Tax Savings Praised
According to MoneyGeek, Arkansas gets a “C” rating for tax friendliness. So Arkansas’ tax friendliness is similar to states like Utah and New Mexico.
According to data from the Tax Foundation, Arkansas still has a fairly high tax:
“Arkansas has a 6.50 percent state sales tax rate, a max local sales tax rate of 6.125 percent, and an average combined state and local sales tax rate of 9.46 percent.”
The less the taxes, the better the score. So states like Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming scored very high.
