Residents in White, Cleburne and Faulkner counties who need help paying summer electric bills can now begin preparing for enrollment in the Summer LiHEAP 2026 assistance program through the Community Action Program for Central Arkansas, known as CAPCA.

Priority enrollment is now open for seniors age 60 and older, individuals with disabilities, and households with children under age 6.
Applications for all eligible households will open July 6, 2026.
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LiHEAP, helps qualifying families with energy costs during Arkansas’s hottest summer months when electric bills often increase due to air conditioning use.
Applicants must provide a recent electric bill, proof of household income from the month prior to application, a government-issued photo identification, Social Security or ITIN information, and Social Security cards for all adults age 18 and older living in the household.
White County residents may apply through the CAPCA office located at 703 Marion Street in Searcy.
Faulkner County residents may visit the CAPCA office at 707 Robins Street, Suite 118, in Conway.
Cleburne County residents can receive services on South 11th Street in Heber Springs on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.
CAPCA officials say office hours for LiHEAP assistance are Monday and Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to gather all required documentation before applying to help speed up the enrollment process.
