A resident was critically injured following a camper fire in the 3600 block of Chestnut Drive in Bismarck Arkansas, according to the Bismarck Fire Protection Association Facebook page.
Fire officials said passersby Ellen Moore and her family spotted the fire and immediately called it in. Officials said the family attempted to reach the trapped resident but were unable to safely get inside the camper.
According to the post, the family then located a water hose and sprayed water on the fire until emergency crews arrived at the scene.
Bismarck Fire Protection Association officials said Assistant Chief Kalob Woodall was able to remove the victim from the camper.
The patient was transported by LifeNet ground ambulance before being airlifted by LifeNet Air in critical condition.
Fire officials asked the community to keep the victim in their thoughts and prayers.
