The Fairfield Bay City Council voted unanimously Monday, May 11, 2026, to approve a planning recommendation for a new private subdivision development known as “The Preserve.”
According to documents presented during the meeting, the development will be located off Mallard Lane in Fairfield Bay and will include multiple residential lots within the proposed subdivision area.
Survey documents identify the project as “The Preserve at the Bay Subdivision” for Preserve Ventures, LLC. The preliminary plat outlines multiple lots, utility easements, walking trail easements, and roadway access connected to the development area.
The proposed subdivision is planned near Dave Creek Parkway and Mallard Lane within Fairfield Bay in Van Buren County.
City officials noted the subdivision is a private development project.
