Lyon College celebrated a major النجاح as the 7th Annual Bad Boy Mowers Scots Spectacular raised nearly $82,000 to support student-athletes and athletic programs.

an 300 attendees gathered on April 18 for the popular “Denim and Diamonds” themed event, combining western flair with formal elegance. Guests enjoyed chef-curated food stations from local restaurants and participated in an online auction featuring items such as NBA tickets, fine art, and vacation packages.
Community Support Drives Success
The event was made possible through strong community backing, led by title sponsor Bad Boy Mowers, along with presenting sponsors Bank of Cave City and First Community Bank.
Live entertainment featured Nashville country-rock artist KC Johns and local favorite Drasco, adding energy to the evening’s celebration.
Honoring Leadership and Legacy
Melissa Taverner highlighted the importance of athletics in student success, noting many Lyon students compete in Division III sports while maintaining rigorous academic schedules.
A special moment came when Athletic Director Kevin Jenkins was honored for 40 years of service to the college. The recognition included a standing ovation and a tribute featuring former players and colleagues.
Looking Ahead
Organizers say the strong turnout reflects continued community support for Lyon College and its student-athletes. Plans are already underway for the next Scots Spectacular, scheduled for April 17, 2027.
