Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has ordered flags across Arkansas to be flown at half-staff in honor of State Representative Stan Berry, who passed away on March 23, 2026.

The order directs that both the United States flag and the Arkansas state flag be lowered beginning March 25, 2026, and remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of Berry’s interment.
Berry served Arkansas in multiple roles throughout his life, including as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing several districts over the years, most recently District 44 from 2023 to 2026.
A graduate of Arkansas Tech University, Berry also served in the National Guard, the Dover School Board, Dover City Council, and the Tri-County Water Commission, dedicating decades to public service.
Governor Sanders said the tribute reflects the state’s gratitude and respect for Berry’s commitment to Arkansas and its people.
