A Texas man was taken into custody after authorities say he was involved in a shooting incident that began in Faulkner County and ended with a traffic stop in Van Buren County.

According to Eric Koonce, 911 dispatch notified officers of an incident in Faulkner County involving a red Platinum Ford truck with Texas license plates.
Authorities reported the driver of the vehicle allegedly became involved in an altercation at a gas station and fired shots at another party with a handgun before leaving the scene.
Traffic Stop in Bee Branch

Officials say Van Buren County Deputy Jordan Richardson later located the vehicle while traveling along Highway 65 in Bee Branch.
Deputy Richardson conducted a traffic stop near Niagra Road in Choctaw, where the driver was identified as Bryan Ezzell of Spring, Texas.
Ezzell was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.
Following the arrest, an Arkansas State Trooper transported Ezzell to Faulkner County, where he will face charges related to the incident.
Charges Filed
Authorities say Ezzell is facing charges for unlawfully discharging a firearm in connection with the alleged incident.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the reported altercation and shooting.
