ASU-Beebe Campuses to Remain Closed Through Tuesday as Winter Storm 2026 and Extreme Cold Continue

, , Leave a comment

Due to ongoing inclement weather conditions from Winter Storm 2026, all ASU-Beebe campuses will remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, according to campus officials.

University leaders say road conditions across the region have not improved enough to safely resume operations. Many secondary roads remain slick and hazardous, and portions of campus parking lots are still unsafe for travel. The extended closure is intended to protect the safety of students, faculty, and staff while allowing additional time for conditions to improve.

Officials urge anyone who must travel to use extreme caution and prioritize safety. Extreme cold temperatures remain in the forecast, and additional weather impacts beyond Tuesday are possible as the prolonged cold weather pattern continues.

ASU-Beebe administrators say they will continue monitoring conditions closely and will provide updates through campus email, the ASU-Beebe website, and official social media channels as more information becomes available.

Residents across the region are encouraged to remain weather-aware, limit unnecessary travel, and follow guidance from local emergency management and transportation officials.
