Arkansas drivers are getting an early Christmas gift at the pump. AAA officials report the statewide average price for regular unleaded fuel has fallen to $2.46 per gallon, marking the lowest average gas price in Arkansas since March 2021. The statewide average is also seven cents cheaper than last week, continuing a steady decline heading into the holiday travel period.

Several Arkansas cities are seeing even lower prices. In central Arkansas, drivers in North Little Rock are paying $2.11 per gallon, while Searcy stations are averaging $2.17 per gallon.
The national average currently sits at $2.89, putting Arkansas well below the national price point and among the most affordable states for holiday travel.
AAA officials said the combination of lower crude oil prices and strong supply is helping push prices down at a welcome time for families preparing to travel for Christmas.
