he Arkansas Homefurnishings Association (ARHFA) celebrated a historic milestone at its 96th Annual Awards and Appreciation Banquet, where Cyndi McElmurry of The Furniture Store in Cabot was inducted into the ARHFA Hall of Fame, becoming the first woman ever to receive the honor in the Association’s nearly century-long history.

The announcement prompted a standing ovation and emotional celebration, as colleagues, industry leaders, and ARHFA members recognized McElmurry’s decades of leadership, service, and commitment to Arkansas’s home furnishings community.
“What a night!” her team shared. “We are incredibly proud of Cyndi. She made history and continues to inspire us every day with her dedication to serving Arkansas families.”
Banquet Highlights
The banquet, hosted in Little Rock, honored individuals, businesses, and partners who strengthened the Arkansas Homefurnishings Association (ARHFA) during a period of economic uncertainty and industry evolution.
The Arkansas RoadRunners, ARHFA’s Sales Representative Division, also recognized the 2025 Dealers of the Year across four statewide districts, showcasing excellence and achievement among Arkansas furniture retailers.
The evening concluded with the traditional passing of the gavel, as past presidents ceremonially transitioned leadership to 2026 ARHFA President Brad Butler, who expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the year ahead.
