Arkansas residents are feeling heightened concern as officials roll out an uncommon public‑safety alert.
The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Friday, warning that dry conditions could cause rapid fire spread; burn bans are already in effect citywide and county‑wide, and officials are urging the public to avoid any activities that could spark fires and to call 911 immediately if a fire is spotted.

The watch runs from Friday morning through late Friday night, covering the entire Texarkana area.
Burn bans are currently active throughout both the city of Texarkana and the surrounding county.
The Texarkana Arkansas Fire Department (TAFD) is urging residents to avoid any actions that could ignite a fire and to report any fire by dialing 911.
The alert is a precautionary safety measure and does not indicate that a wildfire is presently occurring; further developments are not yet known.
