Police Called In After Arkansas Woman Killed While Walking

A 55-year-old Lead Hill woman was killed Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle on State Highway 14 near its intersection with State Highway 7 in rural Boone County. No further details regarding who hit her have been released at this time. Arkansas State Police have only released a few details you can read below.

Woman Killed While Walking In Arkansas

Rio Christine Ketron was identified as the pedestrian fatality in the crash, which occurred at approximately 11:48 a.m. on October 13, 2026.

A westbound vehicle on State Highway 14 struck Ketron. No other injuries were reported.

The Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash. Corporal Nathan L. Bradley is the investigating officer.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time. Ketron’s body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, and next of kin have been notified.
