Residents and drivers across Hot Springs are feeling the pinch as a wave of street and lane closures rolls out this week.
The City of Hot Springs Public Information Department has issued a series of street and lane closures spanning late September through October, prompting motorists to seek alternate routes and heed detour signage.
Multiple Street and Lane Closures Announced
Bellaire Drive between Wellington Street and Malvern Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, for street repair, and the outside northbound lane of Malvern Avenue near Bellaire will also be shut during that time.
Bridge Street and Malvern Avenue between Convention Boulevard and Spring Street are scheduled to close from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on each Thursday in October — Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 — for an event.
From Sept. 23 through Sept. 26, several closures will affect the Reserve Street entrance to Hill Wheatley Plaza, Bridge Street, Malvern Avenue, Spring Street, Craighead Parking Lot and part of the westbound lane on Convention Boulevard, all operating from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.
Detour signs, barricades and flaggers will be in place, and motorists are advised to use alternate routes; these details come from the City of Hot Springs Public Information Department.
