The community responded with enthusiasm as Little Rock unveiled a new effort to combat homelessness.

The City of Little Rock announced a program allowing donors to adopt a micro‑home for a $5,000 tax‑deductible gift, providing temporary housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Micro Home Adoption Initiative Launched

The city’s announcement came from its official government channel, City of Little Rock, AR – Government. It invites the public to become “Hope Builders” by contributing $5,000. The contribution is tax‑deductible under current regulations.

Each adopted micro‑home will be placed in the Little Rock Micro Home Village. The homes are intended to offer safety, dignity, stability, and hope to residents. They serve as a bridge while occupants work toward permanent housing.

Residents of the micro homes are expected to engage in services aimed at securing long‑term housing solutions. The program emphasizes personal empowerment and community support. Specific criteria for residency have not been disclosed.

Donors can adopt a micro home through the provided link, bit.ly/LRAdoptMHV. The city has not yet released details on the total number of homes or rollout timeline. Further information will be shared as the initiative progresses.
