A Cabot High School senior took his musical talents from Arkansas to the world stage this summer, returning home with a bronze medal from one of the biggest competitions in marching music.
Jude Brown spent the summer touring and performing with Carolina Crown, a world-class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Brown performed as a rack player in the front ensemble, playing a variety of percussion instruments throughout Carolina Crown’s 2026 production.
The experience took Brown across the country, giving him the opportunity to perform alongside some of the most talented young musicians in competitive marching music.
The season culminated at the 2026 Drum Corps International World Championship Finals in Indianapolis, where Carolina Crown finished 3rd and earned the bronze medal.
For Brown, the summer was about much more than competition. The demanding tour gave the Cabot musician extensive performance experience and helped strengthen his plans to continue pursuing music after high school.
The Arkansas Leader recently featured Brown’s journey, including his experiences touring with Carolina Crown and his plans for the future.
Brown plans to pursue either music education or music performance at Belmont University in Nashville.
His accomplishment is also a major point of pride for the Cabot High School Band and the Cabot community.
From Cabot, Arkansas, to the national stage, Brown’s summer with Carolina Crown shows where dedication, talent and countless hours of practice can lead.
Cabot High School is celebrating Brown’s accomplishment and says the school community is “Panther Proud” of all he has achieved.
