Police in Cabot continue searching Thursday for a man considered armed and dangerous following a bank robbery Wednesday afternoon.
A Cabot Police Department spokesperson told ArkansasRadio.com Thursday morning that all Cabot police detectives are currently on the streets searching for the suspect.
Police say the man entered Centennial Bank on Bill Foster Memorial Highway shortly before 3:30 Wednesday afternoon and robbed the bank.
The suspect was last seen on foot south of the bank, heading toward a wooded area near Deer Acres.
Police describe the suspect as a Black male who was wearing a camouflage hat and camouflage shirt with black pants at the time of the robbery.
Authorities consider the man armed and dangerous.
No injuries were reported.
Police have not released the amount of money taken during the robbery or additional details about the weapon reportedly involved.
The search continued Thursday morning as Cabot detectives worked to locate the suspect.
Residents are urged not to approach anyone they believe may be the suspect.
Anyone who sees the suspect or believes there is an immediate danger should call 911.
