First Community Bank has announced the promotion of Shane McComas to senior vice president and insurance producer with Community Insurance, a subsidiary of First Community Bank.

In his role, McComas specializes in group health insurance, employee benefits, commercial property and casualty insurance, and life insurance. He works with businesses, organizations and individuals to develop insurance solutions tailored to their needs.
Bank officials said McComas helps clients understand their coverage options and obtain the protection needed for long-term success through personalized service and trusted guidance.
“Shane has always led by example through his commitment to serving our customers with integrity, professionalism and genuine care,” Community Insurance President Anthony Clark said. “He understands that our success is built on relationships, and he consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our clients receive the protection and service they deserve.”
Clark said the promotion recognizes McComas’ dedication and the impact he has made on the agency throughout his career.
McComas has been a licensed insurance professional since 2003 and has worked alongside Clark for much of his more than 2 decades in the insurance industry. During that time, he has developed long-term relationships and provided insurance services to businesses and families throughout the region.
“The titles and letters next to a name may look important, but what really matters is staying focused on taking care of our customers,” McComas said. “Making sure the small details are addressed, ensuring our clients are protected properly, educating them, and providing great customer service should always be our priority.”
McComas said being part of Community Insurance and First Community Bank has been a blessing to his family, adding that they are grateful for the opportunity.
Outside of work, McComas and his family are active members of Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View. McComas and his wife of 26 years have 7 children. The family shares a love of music and travels to churches and revivals throughout the region to minister through song.
The McComas family also operates a cattle farm near their home in Prim.
