A former Conway County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been sentenced to 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to rape in a case involving the alleged sexual abuse of a minor.
Joseph Taylor Dube, 34, entered a negotiated guilty plea Wednesday, August 12, and was sentenced to 22 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
The prison term will be followed by an eight-year suspended imposition of sentence.
According to Arkansas State Police, the agency’s Criminal Investigation Division began investigating Dube on March 22, 2025, at the request of the Conway County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began after authorities received a report alleging Dube had sexually abused a minor.
Special agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division arrested Dube following the investigation. State Police did not include an arrest date or release additional information about the allegations in Friday’s announcement.
The case concluded Wednesday when Dube entered the negotiated guilty plea and received the 22-year prison sentence.
