Country music star and Army Reserve soldier Craig Morgan will headline the 2026 Get Down Downtown Festival with a free concert in downtown Searcy.
Morgan is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 26, bringing more than 2 decades of country music hits to one of Searcy’s largest annual community celebrations.
Morgan has accumulated more than 2.5 billion career streams and placed more than 25 songs on the Billboard charts. His signature hits include “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Almost Home,” “International Harvester,” “Soldier,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday” and “The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost.”
The singer, author and actor has continued releasing music reflecting his faith, patriotism and life experiences. His recent work includes “Blanket of Stars” and the EP “American Soundtrack,” released through BBR Music Group and BMG Nashville.
Morgan received one of country music’s highest honors when he became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2008.
Before launching his country music career, Morgan spent 17 years serving in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. He reenlisted in the Army Reserve in 2023 and continues his military career as a Chief Warrant Officer 2.
Get Down Downtown begins at 6 p.m. Friday, September 25, with live music, vendors and family-friendly activities filling the streets of downtown Searcy.
Festival activities resume at 8 a.m. Saturday, September 26, with the annual Funnel Cake 5K and Cotton Candy Classic. Additional entertainment, activities and vendors will continue throughout the day before Morgan’s free headlining concert at 8 p.m.
The festival offers families and visitors a full weekend of music, food, shopping and community activities in downtown Searcy.
