Citizens Bank has announced the 29th Annual Celebrate America fireworks show has been rescheduled to Sunday, July 5, following an unexpected issue with its longtime pyrotechnics vendor.
The free community celebration will take place from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Batesville Municipal Golf Course. Food vendors will begin serving at 5 p.m., live music starts at 6 p.m., and the fireworks spectacular is scheduled for approximately 9:15 p.m.
According to Citizens Bank, the company that had produced the annual fireworks show for the past 15 years informed organizers it would not be able to fulfill its commitment. Bank officials immediately worked to secure a replacement fireworks company to ensure the annual tradition could continue.
“We are incredibly grateful that we are still able to host Celebrate America this weekend,” said Micah Beard, Executive Vice President and Regional President of Citizens Bank. “This event means so much to our community, and our team has worked tirelessly to ensure families can still come together to celebrate.”
Musical performances by Everyday Life and local favorite Drasco have also been moved to the new date, helping preserve one of North Central Arkansas’ most anticipated Independence Day traditions.
Citizens Bank also thanked the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce for alerting organizers to possible concerns with the fireworks vendor, allowing additional time to arrange a replacement.
Batesville Mayor Rick Elumbaugh encouraged families to enjoy holiday celebrations across the region before wrapping up the weekend in Batesville.
Celebrate America is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, arrive early, and enjoy an evening of food, live entertainment, and one of the largest fireworks displays in Arkansas as America celebrates its 250th birthday.
