The Lonoke Police Department announced that Officer Daniel Duran resigned Monday following an internal affairs investigation, according to Police Chief Keith Graham.
Chief Graham said he accepted Duran’s resignation effective immediately on Monday. The investigation reportedly began after the department received a letter from a community member alleging an affair with the married officer, including claims of intimacy while Duran was on duty.
The department has not released additional details regarding the investigation or whether further disciplinary action was considered prior to the resignation.
Officials have not indicated if any criminal charges are connected to the allegations.
