The City of Searcy will officially celebrate the completion of major improvements at Berryhill Park with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 21 at 4 PM.

Community members are invited to attend the event and experience several new amenities, including an all-inclusive playground designed for children of all abilities, a splash pad, new walking trails, improved parking, and additional recreation enhancements.

City officials say the project reflects Searcy’s long-term commitment to quality-of-life improvements identified through the #MySearcy master planning process. Funding for the upgrades came through the voter-approved bond initiative passed in 2024.

Mayor Mat Faulkner said Berryhill Park has long been an important gathering place for local families and the improvements will create even more opportunities for outdoor recreation and community events.

The grand opening celebration will feature remarks from city leaders and members of the Berryhill family, along with complimentary hot dogs, chips, drinks, face painting, and opportunities for families to explore the new attractions.

The park master plan was completed by Crafton Tull, while Davidson Engineering served as the lead design firm and Hart Construction completed the project.

Berryhill Park is located at 2001 East Moore Avenue in Searcy.
