Tim Griffin has officially certified Act 934 of 2025, expanding Arkansas law to further restrict the sale and distribution of intoxicating hemp-derived products.

The updated law builds on legislation passed in 2023 targeting products such as Delta-8, Delta-9, and THC-O, which officials say were often marketed toward children and sold without age restrictions.

Griffin said the certification follows a lengthy legal battle, including a federal court ruling that allowed the state to enforce the ban.

According to the The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), enforcement efforts have already led to the seizure of more than 6,000 illegal products and thousands of inspections statewide.

Lawmakers including Senator Tyler Dees, Representative Jimmy Gazaway, and Representative Jon Eubanks praised the measure, saying it protects Arkansas consumers and keeps dangerous products out of the hands of minors.
