Families in Independence County will have an opportunity to receive support and enjoy a free meal during a special event happening this Saturday in Batesville.
The Hope Lutheran Family Life Pantry will host its Baby Pantry and Family Breakfast on March 21, 2026, from 9am to 11am at 2415 East Main Street.
The event is open to all families and will provide a free breakfast for the entire family, including casseroles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee.
In addition to the meal, families with young children will receive essential supplies. Each child will be provided with 60 diapers or 30 pull ups, 2 packages of baby wipes, formula, baby cereal, baby food, and a few books. Laundry detergent will also be available.
Organizers say the event is designed to support families while creating a welcoming and relaxed environment. A large playroom will be open for children, giving parents time to connect with others and visit with volunteers.
First time visitors are asked to bring a birth certificate for each child under age 5 to complete registration.
