After nearly half a decade, she’s leaving.

KARK marked the event saying “Today is a bittersweet day at #KARK4News as we say goodbye to someone who’s left an incredible mark both in the newsroom and in our hearts.”

On June 17th, 2025, one of KARK’s top reporters, Caitrin Assaf announced publicly that she was departing the news network in Arkansas.

KARK released the following news celebrating Caitrin’s decision, saying she’ll be missed:

“We’re sad to see her go, we’re so proud and excited for what’s ahead. Wishing you all the best on your next journey, Caitrin.”
