An update has been issued for the city of Searcy, Arkansas by officials.
The City Of Searcy has announced that severe flooding has impacted multiple streets across the community, prompting action from local authorities. Mayor Mat Faulkner and Emergency Response Teams are urging residents to stay home. They have revealed a list of streets reported impacted by the storms.
Searcy Officials Issue Update After Devastating Storms
For those who must travel, extreme caution is advised on the roads. Drivers are warned not to attempt passing through flooded areas.
Reported flooded streets include Hickory at Beebe Capps, East Park near Cloverdale Church of Christ, and South Poplar to Park. Other affected areas are Race Street near KFC, Truman Baker Drive at Beebe Capps, and several more.
Additional streets like Pleasure from Maple to Pear, Booth Road, and the southern part of Janet Street are also flooded. Skyline near the Library and Mary Irene are similarly impacted.
Due to the flooding, the Janett & Larry Crain Memorial Library will remain closed today. Authorities will continue to update the list of affected areas as conditions evolve.
