According to Pine Bluff Police Department, their detectives detained a student after a false threat was made involving an active shooter at Watson Chapel School District.
Police Make Arrest After False Active Shooter Threat About School
Pine Bluff Detectives have detained a student from Watson Chapel Jr. High School following a false threat of an active shooter today.
The threat call was received at 11:51 am, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement to secure the school.
However, no active threat was found.
Despite an extensive search, no evidence of an actual threat was discovered at any school in the Watson Chapel School District.
Pine Bluff Detectives, as a result, detained a Watson Chapel Jr. High School student believed to be responsible for making the false threat.
Law enforcement remains on high alert, and the investigation into the false threat continues with charges pending against the student.
