Public service can be a thankless job. That’s why praising kind acts of local police is so important.
A photo is circulating online after a local police officer in Searcy, Arkansas stopped and helped a stranded passenger at Walmart break into his locked car. It happened earlier today.
Photo Shows Police Helping Stranded Person In The Rain
It happened at Walmart in Searcy, Arkansas. A person in a truck was reportedly stranded after keys were locked inside the car.
A police officer got out in the rain and helped the stranded citizen by unlocking the door for him.
Pamela Connell, one of the owners of Arkansas Radio, praised the officer on social media, writing:
“Here’s a shout out to ‘The BLUE’ of Searcy, Arkansas! On the other side of this pickup there is a kind police officer out in the rain unlocking this guys truck door.”
Police Don’t Always Have To Do This
According to Progressive, many police “may not be able or allowed to unlock your car unless there’s an emergency, such as a small child or pet locked inside.”
Especially if it’s raining!
It just goes to show that some officers are willing to go above and beyond.
